Cons: SOUNDTRACK, UNFORTUNATELY IS HORRIBLE

What a beauty. What a real, real beauty. This soft, delicate story of a Mormon missionary coming to terms with his sexuality when he meets up with a guy so out he's out of this world is yet another movie like Maurice and Brokeback Mountain to tell a gay story with stealth, honesty, and a generous dose of reality.

Steve Sandvoss is a wonder as the awkward,
timid, but sexy missionary wrestling with his sexuality and Wes Ramsey is the hot shot , flamboyant stud that looks to challenge Steve's sraight-laced missionary poise in a bet made with a girlfriend that comes to topple with both the young mens emotions and hearts.

See this movie. Watch a couple times. It'll give you pride, hope, and understanding while letting you know that not only being different, but thinking different are both alright in the world.

Cons: nothing worth highlighting

Pretty much my new favorite! Growing up mormon, gay, and in Idaho, this movie really hit close to home.
Great to see some of the mormon stigmas come to light, and "foreshadowed" through some of the music ("Beautiful Day"). Not to mention the reversal of converting. Ingenious twists with characters, and situations.
Only thing I have any hang up on are filming locations, that I'm not sure anyone but those that know the areas would really catch.

I must say that this movie told a great love story between two men who came from very different backgrounds. It truly shows that love can conquer all. And that when your in love nothing else matters. Great movie and even my straight friends enjoyed it.

Pros: GREAT CAST/EXCELLENT STORY LINE

Cons: NOT ENOUGH PUBLICITY

The encounter between the typical LA gay guy and a humble and innocent all-American boy takes a weird turn as belief meets life. A religious condemnation of a life style is portrayed at its best in this coming-of-age production, directed by C.Jay Cox (Sweet Home Alabama). Never have we seen reality presented before our eyes with a twist of emotions and creed.

Steve Sandvoss and Wes Ramsey did a great job in playing both characters with a touch only provided by Cox. Latter Days is a film we were waiting for.

I have read many great reviews of this movie. It turned out to be a great movie. The main character Steve Sandvoss's (as Elder Davis) innocent and reserved style of acting heightened the whole theme of the movie. You can find more about the actor and the movie reviews here.
