The lslickest Gun Club album!
This was a great one! A totally different version of Walking with the Beast than the single, this one is a heavy Bo Diddley version with a Kid Congo feedback solo. Dave Alvin plays lead on Stranger in Our Town. Bad America is a blues about shootin' dope in Miami,probably with Johnny Too-Bad. This song has great Tom Verlaine like riffing. This album has a country-punk vibe. Produced Jeff Erhlych(?) who also worked with T-Bone Burnett. Since my Man is Gone is by the Gershwins,the intro to that song is the Pharoh Sanders tune The Ceator has a Master Plan. May be out of print by now. If you see it,by it!
