Mexican experimental band La Lupita got involved in the local scene in the early-'90s, combining rock and traditional Latin music, performing ironic and sarcastic lyrics, which resulted in one of the band's main characteristics: its sense of humor. La Lupita debuted in 1993 with an album called Pa' Servir A Usted.
