Pros: Sweet style. Good camera. Premo voice quality

Cons: Quality issues, touchy controls, propietary usb

In a Blackberry infested office coworkers all agree this phone looks sharp. The display is crisp and easy to read. Excellent voice quality, high marks for the contact book and call logs. Control issues: the touchpad never seems to have the right ...sensitivity. The side buttons are too small (chiclet). I would have preferred them to be spaced further apart and larger. The slide mechanism is smooth and easy to use. Don't consider using this phone for music and pictures without spending 30 bucks on some memory. Once the memory is installed the phone made a nice mp3 player. Purchased songs from Yahoo can be played. 1 gig made for lots of room for pictures. The memory card slipped in to my Wii (with adapter) and they play well together. Downers, the pc connection is propietary and touchy. Likewise the Verizon software which you don't need. Yahoo Musicplayer had no problem with the phone. My first phone went dead and Verizon had to send me a replacement. Bottom line - great looks, good phone, touchy controls, dynamite music and photos. Great value with a 2 year commitment (69$). Read more Less

    LG VX8500

Yes, the LG VX8500 "Chocolate" is being dubbed a music phone and its cool exterior slightly resembles the U2-inspired iPod, but this cell phone isn't just about the music. It's got decent battery life, impressive audio quality, expandable memory, a 1.3-megapixel camera and Bluetooth. Read more
