    Tried The Chocolate

By James  Aug 26, 2006 | 29 out of 32 found this LG VX8300 review helpful

Pros: Buit so bold, Good quality, Good price, Good features

Cons: Speaker needs to be a little louder to wow people

Well I just traded in my LG Chocolate for the vx8300, after finding out that the 100 dollar difference was on the sliding motion, the touch pad, and the fact that its called chocolate. Before getting the Chocolate, i loved it and wanted it. After get...ting it, i felt all the lightweight plastic and thought, "HMMM mabey this might break if i dropped it a few times" I also noticed the mass amount of fingure prints left behind on the black surface "bleh". Also for a 200 dollar phone, you'd think that use better quality materials, and add a flash to the camera. NOPE!!.. well i just felt like it wasn't worth the touch sensitive screen which actually got annoying after a while. (Like you want to press it but you no its touch screen) (sigh), so yes i traded it in for the vx8300 which is cheaper, better made, has a flash, and does everything the chocolate does except glow red and slide. : ) Read more Less

    My Fav Phone Of All

    By Grant S  Jul 12, 2006 | 24 out of 25 found this LG VX8300 review helpful

    Pros: Stealthy-Feature PackED

Cons: Some Adjustment Options have vanished

It's great...meaning its sturdy, fit my hand to a T. Has features they don't really advertise, Like navigation. The miniSD card option, The only 2nd generation stereo speaker phone. Its minus the glitches or tin can sound of the Razor...a coo...l but Over Rated phone. Boot-up/down time is a snap. Great speaker(s) phone, button feel/layout is a breeze. Some times getting to the menu you may want take a few extra clicks, but its no biggie. No contrast adjustment for the screen(s) and thats bogus because it lights-up the movie house and can be iritating when my eyes are tired, and it consumes battery time. Still gotta put it in the range. Great Screens, Software, Flash Drive, Build quality. Not to mention the fact that this phone means: I don't have to carry around a Razor like everyone else.
