Pros: looks nice, easy to use, nice speakerphone/voice recorder.
Cons: worst reception, battery life inconsistent at times, cheap product
I originally got this phone from Verizon for free because my previous Audiovox phone broke.
It got the most horrible reception. It cut out all the time for the year and half I owned it. I had so many problems with reception no matter where I went. I refuse to ever buy or own another LG phone again, even though they have stylish ones.
I just got the motorola krzr. I get a lot better reception and it has way better features. It's true it may be more delicate but at least it works.
Pros: good screen, hardy
Cons: gets super hot, short battery life, had to return 4 times in the first 2 months because of problems with it shutting off randomly, still shuts off randomly, most recent problem is that i can only hear people talking-i can't talk back
gets super hot, short battery life, had to return 4 times in the first 2 months because of problems with it shutting off randomly, still shuts off randomly, most recent problem is that i can only hear people talking-i can't talk back
Pros: light weight, vibrant color, very customizable, good battery life
Cons: Not top of the line anymore, Side buttons switch ring modes a lot
I think this is a good phone for people looking for a color phone with a good battery life. For people looking for even more features, maybe you should look for the LG VX6000 (most comprable camera phone) or some other phone.
I did have some problems with it, the old software was faulty, but Verizon updated it and changed my phone under warranty with no fuss at all. It is a good value now that price has gone down.
Overall, I am satisfied with the phone and with the (cell phone and customer) service.
The main con is that the buttons on the side of the phone can be used to change from ring to vibrate to silent, but they get hit a lot accidentally (ie, while in pants pocket).
Also, the clip is stupidly engineered, you cant open the phone to answer a call when its in the clip
Final con, while charging in the desktop charger, you cant use the headset! the jack is covered by the charger.
As for Get-It-Now, its mostly BS. There are a wide variety of programs and the system is easy to use, BUT you have to pay for things before you can even see them!
For example, you can download ringtone programs, but must pay for ringtones before you have even surveyed the programs inventory (each program is different in the tones they offer and QUALITY!)
As for Verizon service, its the best in the states, by far! The network reaches out much further than others and this phone supports the analog as well as digital networks. If you plan to use a phone globally, Stay away from Verizon. But ofcourse, most customers don't care about that (including myself).
Pros: good phone pretty tough
Cons: like every one is saying get it now is a scam and a big one at that. The only problem I have found about my phone is it will shut off and reset every once in a while, and it takes forever to turn back on. The antenna jams so you cant pull it out very easy.
but other than that it has been a good phone
Pros: size and battery length
Cons: no ring and vibe at the same time!
I got mine through verizon and they told me this was top of the line however some of the ring tones aren't avail for the phone (top of the line?) I wanted to download a specific tone and it wouldn't allow me to do it! I had to pay BEFORE I FOUND OUT!!!! GET IT NOW IS A SCAM!!!!! No ring and vibe at the same time is bad they need it on these phones!
Pros: Everything you could ever ask for!
Cons: Nothing
I bought this phone a few weeks ago. It has every bell and whistle imaginable. I liked it so much I bought one for my wife. I've always had LG phones and never encountered any problems. I would recommend this phone to anyone.
Pros: This phone has everything you would want on it and then some. You can personalize just about everything.
Cons: The hands free button on the side can sometimes be hit accidently.
Overall, I love it. The color screen is awesome. You can change the background to whatever you want. You can download differnt games and songs. Set a different ring and color for each person in your phone book. The hands free mode lets you drive and still call. It's also handy if you don't remeber the number. Caller id on the outside of the phone is great.
I like the phone but with so many features it is hard to manage the phone with out your computer.
I own this phone it rocks I would recomend it to anyone. You can choose many rings to download and games and upload pics from your computer to your phone!
i have never had a problem from this phone, and i've always had problems form other phones...like samsung, or nokias. These LG's are where u wanna go.
Pros: Good standby/call time. Fully customizable - if you know how to navigate around this phone, which takes a bit of practice. Large capacity for addresses, phone #'s and schedules. An almost idiot-proof phone. A good bang for the buck.
Cons: The Get It Now network is nothing more that a scam. Too expensive to download games, tones, backgrounds, etc. Can't visit Verizon's website to download files to your phone, like other networks (i.e. AT&T). Ring tones leave MUCH to be desired. You can't have a LOW volume ring tone & vibrate at the same time.
CONCLUSION: I am happy in the fact that I would not have to buy another phone for the next two years.
