Pros: LOOKS GREAT UNTIL TURNED ON

Cons: AWFUL PICTURE WHEN VIEWING @ ANGLE

I purchased this set (sight unseen) based upon some LG press releases. What a mistake! The set is beautifully designed. I was so excited removing it from the box. Once I set it up I was awed by its beauty and wonderful picture. If this set is viewed head-on dead-center the picture is fabulous. My excitement quickly turned to dissapointment once I moved and viewed the set from a left or right angle (not an extreme angle mind you, but rather a30 to 40 degree angle). When viewed at an angle all dark areas of the screen appear in a beautiful pale blue. I'm not kidding. I visited several several stores and examined dozens of other less expensive LCD flat panel sets and could not find another that performed so badly when viewing from an angle. I also own a Sharp Aquos which displays beautifully from all angles. The LG propiganda (specifications) describe the set as having a "178 degree viewing angle..., contrast ratio that you have to see to believe...". Needless to say I immediately contacted LG Customer Support. I also purchased this set because of the LG 3 year warranty with 48 hour exchange policy on this set. Well... 5 weeks later I received the replacement exchange set. The replacement had the same problem. I have been going back and forth with LG for several weeks now with no resolution. Meanwhile, my exchange time period has lapsed with the store that I ordered the LG from. I am now stuck with this LG that I hate and LG is doing nothing for me. If you are thinking of purchasing this set PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT BUT AN LG.
