Not built to last
Pros: Good picture quality
Cons: Only lasted for 28 months
I have owned this LG 42â Plasma TV for 28 months and within the first year the sound board went out. LG was kind enough to replace it at no cost. Now on month 28 the picture is out. It's by far the worst TV I have ever purchased. I wonât buy another one!

There is a software bug in the LG high def tuners. It was first discovered in Australia were it was big news. Do a search on "LG channel nine" and you will see countless newpaper articles. It appears that my TV has the same problem on Brighthouse networks in Florida. LG did a software update in Australia, which required a home service call, but they have yet to acknowledge the same problem in the states. Basically the TV picture will freeze, but the sound will continue. All the remote buttons become ineffective as well as the front panel buttons. If you hit the off button on the remote or the front panel, and wait 10 to 30 seconds, it will eventually turn off. You can then turn it back on and it will work for another 30 minutes or so. Very anoying. Buy any of the LG HDs at your own peril.

Pros: Picture quality, color, features, design
Cons: Standard Definition picture
I'm am very happy i stumbled across this tv. The HD quality is unreal. I've had some experience with hdtv's and this is the best one so far for the price. My XBOX 360 and PS3 look flawless on this television. HD movies and tv are also fantastic. The colors are pictures are very crisp.
