Steve Martin's triumphant film.
, December 13, 1999Reviewer: Greg - See all Greg's reviewsSteve Martin wrote and starred in this wonderful film, possibly the first great film of the 90's. He takes us on an amusing tour of LA through the eyes of misunderstood weatherman, Harris K. Telemacher, who is trying to find his place in this magical city. His job, social and love lives are in jeopardy. Until he meets a freeway signpost who bestowes unto him clarity.
Brilliantly acted with sharp humor, a top notch cast, cameos and music(mostly by the wonderful singer/composer Enya), this film is one of my absolute favorites and will always be a part of my collection!!!
Other great Steve Martin films I suggest:
The Jerk, The Man with Two Brains, Bowfinger, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Three Amigos, Roxanne, Parenthood, Grand Canyon and Planes, Trains and Automobiles
Also his book "Pure Drivel" is as wonderful as he is. PICK IT UP!!! ...

This is a movie you must pay attention to, because there are so many clever little jokes shrouded in the story. At first, you may try to figure out what angle it's coming from, but just go with it and have an open mind!
Lot's of guest cameos as well. ...
