Pros: Just about everything, it's a solidly made, wonderful workhorse

Cons: Finding replacement carafe sucked, but finally...

We, at the time, thought that NO ONE (in 1999) would buy this (then quite expensive) machine for us, as back then it was the *&it!...Yet, much to our elation and surprise, someone actually got us this very Krups, and it's been an intergal part of the "familia" every since. We love it, no, it's not the most beautiful, sleek piece of machinery ever made,BUT it grew on us, and damned if the ONLY thing in 8 years that has gone wrong, has been the carafe breaking, which was the only sucky thing about owning it- getting a new carafe, otherwise, this is a workhorse fit and proper. It's NEVER, EVER failed to produce PERFECT lattes, or whatever we decide to experiment with. I've seen many a bloke complain about the pump, well ours must be on supercrack as it has explosive power, directed beautifully by the little 'perfect frother' device, that has never fallen apart, etc. I feel bad for those who must have either gotten a shite batch of these crispy baggers, OR they just have karmatic problems, but we love our chuffin' Krups and tommorow morn, I've already set it to make a perfect pot of our special morning blend. I would advise those who've had trouble with theirs not to give up on Krups as they're a world class product maker, yes, their customer service could be MUCHO better, but we've been good to our machine, and in turn, it's nary let us asunder..sort of like our toyotas - anyway, this bagga has shown us not a hint of ever slowing down, stopping or the whatwots, so we certainly (after some of the reviews I've read) lucked out. You can still get them at AMAZON and a couple other places sell refurbished models. I wouldn't GIVE mine up for beesknees, right, so that's the jacknorry and as far as we're concerned it's bob's uncle.
