Pros: nice shell(doubles as a mirror, lol), compact enough, and good image quality
Cons: Not so good pics in the dark
Maybe its just me who doesn't know much about tech. b/c I always get either blurred images, or yellowish images when pictures are not taken during the day time with natural light.
I have had this camera for 2-3 yrs? forgot, but i am still learning some of the features. HA, I am almost anti-manuals, unless i am left with no choice and in need for an instant answer.
Pros: Slim, large lcd display, high resolution
Cons: Shutter lag red eye, no vuew fubderm blurry images, inconsitent image quality
This was my third Dimage owning an X50 and an X60. The previous cameras where ok, I gave them to members of my family. I thought the X1 would be a nice upgrade. What a mistake! This camera is awful and now sits in my desk drawer. I bought a Canon sd600 for less money and absolutrely love it. Fast, sharp and yields vibrant images.
Pros: easy to use
Cons: multiple flash, blurry results
It cost way too much money for the actuall quality of the photo. I love the big screen and it doesn't waight much.
Pros: Easy to use, convenient size, great pictures
Cons: Requires too much time between photos
I didn't do a good job of bargain shopping, but even though I paid more than I should have, I'm still happy with this purchase. The quality of photos is great, I was able to figure it out without too much time in the manual (this is my first digital camera), and my friends are impressed with the look and size that makes it easy to carry with me. I've managed to capture some great moments that would have otherwise just lived in our memories!
Pros: Size, Quality, and Very user friendly.
Cons: I can't think of one.
I read the reviews and features of several other cameras under the same price range and did not find anything better for the money. If you shop carefully, you will find it for under $260.00. The picture are cristal clear and easy to download to the computer, just place it in the crate and the included software will do the rest. Very well sped money. Highly recomended!
Pros: Size, Resolution
Cons: Fragile, Cradle required for connectivity to Computer/T.V.
I am writing this from my experience with the Konica Minolta Xi Dimage camera that I purchased for my 17-year-old daughter. I purchase her the Xi Dimage for Christmas, she used the camera for about a week only using the cradle to charge the battery.
The second week my daughter attempted to use the supplied composite cables to connect the camera to the television. Both the cable and the port on the camera look similar and without reading the manual you wouldnt know that the cradle is required for connectivity to the television. My daughter simply tried to connect the camera to the cable and she did not force it into the camera. When she pulled the cable out of the camera it caught onto the pins of the camera port. This caused both the camera pins and the cable pins to bend and become damaged. I understand that reading the manual is important but unfortunately she did not.
That was just the beginning of my problems with Konica Minolta and this camera. I believed I could return the camera to the retailer I purchased it from. Unfortunately I purchased the camera from an Internet retailer Butterflyphoto.com, I knew this would make it more time consuming to return but didnt realize how much I would regret purchasing this from an internet retailer.
I shopped the internet to save $50 but the end result would costs me an extra $160 and a major headache. I contacted Butterflyphoto.com and was told I would have to return the camera directly to Konica Minolta for service per the Butterflyphoto.com return policy. I was a little bothered but figured dealing with Konica might be a better experience anyway. Keep in mind if I had purchased the camera from oh say, Costco or another reputable retailer I could have returned the camera without any problem. Believe me I learned a very important lesson about purchasing electronics on the Internet.
Upon contacting Konica and explaining the problem to a support representative I was asked to complete a warranty repair request which I did on-line. At that time I believed that the camera would be repaired under warranty. A couple of weeks later I checked the status of the warranty repair on-line and discovered the camera had been received and there was a $158 charge for repair, keep in mind I purchased the camera for $230.
I then contacted the Konica Minolta service department to request an explanation as to why there was a $158 repair charge for something that I believed would be covered under warranty. I spoke to another service representative and after waiting 20-30 minutes was told that the camera had been abused. The camera had only been used once prior to my 17-year-old daughter wanting to display the pictures on the television. I asked to speak with the service manager and was told there wasnt one. I then contacted the Konica Minolta corporate office and asked the receptionist if I could speak to someone in the customer relations department regarding a warranty repair problem. The person that I was transferred to didnt pickup so I left a voice mail message. About 3 hours later a received a call from this person and explained what had happened and believed that the camera should be covered under warranty. The Konica Minolta customer relations person that I spoke with insisted that my daughter had abused the camera.
I tried to explain what had happened and how poor design of the camera and the similarity between the composite cable that came with the camera and the camera port itself contributed to the problem. The Konica Minolta XiDimage camera is extremely fragile and particularly the camera port itself. Why would they design a camera that required the cradle to be used to connected to the television.
I will never purchase electronics from the Internet again and particularly Butterflyphoto.com. It isnt worth the potential risks and implications from manufacturers defect or basic wear and tear. I will definitely not purchase another Konic
Pros: High Megapixel & contras
Cons: Blitz / flash
Shadow behind the object when using flash, and blurry choppy image in flash off (mobile object)
Pros: high megapixel
Cons: slow and choppy display
Takes too long to boot up, there is a long delay after you push the shutter button until the pic is taken, and the refresh rate on the display is way too slow so that when you are moving you get a blurry choppy image.
Pros: everything about the camera
Cons: wish it was a wee more stylish
even a monkey could get a clear photo- literally. I especially liked its variety of settings (particularly anti-shake). I'll never take a bad shot again! Easy to use. It comes with a memory card and I had a $50 mail in rebate with this camera as well- GREAT buy! The kind of camera that will last you for years to come.
Pros: NA
Cons: NA
