    Surprising Quality From Koda

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Oct 24, 2003 | 89 out of 93 found this Kodak EasyShare DX4530 Digital Camera review helpful

Pros: 5 megapixel quality, small, great price, easy

    Cons: lens cover

As an experienced photographer I thought I would never buy a Kodak camera. However, after testing various cameras it is incredibly hard to beat the quality and price for this camera. It is very easy to use. I had absolutely no problem taking pictu...res and videos, and downloading it into the computer. On my first try I was able to email and print with no issues. There is some flexibility to control some shots, certainly enough for most people. I bought my camera bundled with the docking piece for $389 at costco. The docking makes downloading easier in my opinion. It comes with a rechargable nimh battery (highly recommend this) and bought a 256mb card too. I have the ability to store 166 pictures and take up to 16 minutes of video which is plenty enough until you have access to a computer. The only negative I have experienced so far is the lens cover. I wish they just had something that automatically covers it like some other cameras. Well, can't have everything! Read more Less

    Great Camera for price

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Aug 25, 2003 | 35 out of 37 found this Kodak EasyShare DX4530 Digital Camera review helpful

This is a great value for the price. You cant beat a 5.0 megapixal at the cost. Very easy to use right out of the box.
Cons: Have to buy additional accessories i.e. base, batteries, case, etc.

    Nice N Easy!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Oct 31, 2003 | 22 out of 23 found this Kodak EasyShare DX4530 Digital Camera review helpful

Pros: Can't believe how easy it is to use, and how good the photos turned out!

Cons: No build-in lens cap, but it is ok, has a strap on it

Can't believe how easy it is to use it! I used to own an Olympus Camedia Z2020, loved it and used it for 4 years. Time to upgrade. I spent $307 for this Kodak DX 4530 at "BuyDig.COM", fantastic shopping experience. Got the camera right ...away. At first I thought it will come with a 32Mb SD card. But there was no card. Then I realized that it has a 32Mb Internal Memory - which is even better! So I bought a 128Mb SD card and plugged in just like that. No pain and no hassle. The other thing is, I used to use serial port for image transfer, the Kodak uses USB. I can't believe how much faster it is using USB! The Kodak "EasyShare" software detected all the images from both internal and SD memories, and downloaded within a few seconds! The quality is fantastic! I set the image quality on the camera to "good" to avoid large files. And it is really GOOD!Overall, great little camera for such small price! Read more Less

    good camera

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Oct 13, 2003 | 22 out of 23 found this Kodak EasyShare DX4530 Digital Camera review helpful

Pros: low price, 5 megapixels, ease of use

Cons: Uses Nimh or lithium AA's but not Alkaline AA batteries

The DX4530 camera is very easy to use. You are not overwhelmed by countless buttons all over. Just a few most important buttons are placed on the camera. Menu is easy to use. It also looks and feels like a regular 35mm camera. Easy to hold in yo...ur hand, unlike some digitals on the market. Pictures are very nice. Very easy to transfer pictures to the computer with out using a dock. Takes videos too, a neat feature. Paid $314 for the camera at Dell.com when it was on sale. cant beat that price considering some 3 megapixels are going for that price. Read more Less

    Great Camera

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Oct 24, 2003 | 11 out of 12 found this Kodak EasyShare DX4530 Digital Camera review helpful

    Pros: Quality!

    Cons: Haven't found one yet.

My wife and I just had our first child and decided it would be less expensive to purchase a digital camera as opposed to paying for roll after roll of film being developed. We purchase a Kodak eashy share camera along with a the Camera Port and I have... never been more pleased with a purchase in my life. The quality of these pictures are amazing. The port makes life easy because you simply put the camera on the port to charge it, just like a cell phone. After taking pictures click a button on the port and all the pictures transfer directly to your computer. We also purchased a printer, not through Kodak, it's an HP. However we are pleased with that as well. Read more Less

    A Truly Pleasant Surprise

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Feb 23, 2004 | 8 out of 8 found this Kodak EasyShare DX4530 Digital Camera review helpful

Pros: Small Size; Light Weight; Picture Quality

    Cons: EasyShare Oddities/Deficiencies

Shortly before Thanksgiving 2003 my Olympus Camedia C-3030 died without warning. So, for Christmas, my dear wife gave me this camera as a replacement. I was impressed!Pros:-High Quality Ektanar Lens System-Simple Controls-Takes worderful pictures in ...most lighting situations, (although dim light seems to be a little troublesome, even with the flash. I'm still trying to figure out the best settings for dim light)-Compact-Good Kodak Support. EasyShare Software is simple yet versatile.Cons:-Not Many manual Settings-Transfer of Picture from CCD to storage is a little slow.-No PNG format output, only JPG and TIF-Camera Dock only recharges Kodak battery pack in the EasyShare Camera Dock II. Kodak EasyShare DX4530

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 1, 2003 | 5 out of 5 found this Kodak EasyShare DX4530 Digital Camera review helpful

Pros: Very good price for 5 mp camera

Cons: $300 camera and then $70 for camera dock, but worth it

I just got the camera Thanksgiving Day so I haven't had a lot of time to play with it yet, but already I haven't had to use the book that comes with it because I just played around with it to figure things out. I recommend buying the seperate... camera dock because that charges the camera and also transfers pictures to the computer. I can just see how much money I'm going to save on batteries in the long run, so hopefully it'll be worth the $70. I highly recommend this camera to anyone...so far the picture quality is wonderful too. Haven't really found anything wrong with the camera yet. Read more Less

    Pros: User Friendly!!!

    Cons: none

I just recieved this camera for Christmas. I've had other digital cameras and this one beats them all for quality, affordability and ease of use. There are other components that you can buy to use with this camera, but NONE are required. All you... need is a USB port and a printer. The pictures I've printed from this camera looked like they've been developed and printed by professionals. The quality is truly awesome! Read more Less

Pros: easy to use - good price

Cons: a camera case would have been good

My brother bought this camera in august and at that time we had no clue how good it might be. But after taking a few pictures, we were amazed at the quality of the outdoor shots. especially when you view it in the kodak software, it feels so real. Th...e indoor photos, sometimes dont give that much result because of the lighting. But compared to some of the pictures i have seen of other cameras, its far better. I would recommed it to anyone. Kodak really thought about the easy of use on this one. Read more Less

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Feb 15, 2004 | 2 out of 2 found this Kodak EasyShare DX4530 Digital Camera review helpful

    Pros: Very Easy to use

    Cons: camera len cover

i don't even need to read the Manuel to operate the camera, all the buttons are very much self explains. This camera takes execellent quality pictures for a very low price. The built in flash is really good, you can actually take a quality pictur...e in a pitch black room. Read more Less
