Kobukuro
A Japanese folkduo, Kobukuro (named after the lead syllable in each members' surname, i.e., Kentaro Kobuchi (guitar and vocals) and Shunsuke Kuroda (vocals)) got together in 1995 and released their first album, Saturday 8PM, independently in 1999. Their next two fulllengths, 2000's Answer and 2001's Root of My Mind, were popular enough to attract the attention of the major labels, and the duo signed a deal in 2001. Their majorleague debut, Roadmade was released in 2001, and was a chart success....
