The debut from Zurich's Kleenex was this four-song EP, which was released only seven months after the band formed. Sunrise Records pressed 1,000 copies, all of which sold briskly. During the ten minutes documented here, Regula Sing's husky voice is counteracted by bassist Klaudia Schiff's more melodic and youthful vocals. The playing is tuneful, deliberate punk. Sing sings all of the lumpen "Beri-Beri," which is repetitive with a winding, grinding riff. "Ain't You" is nearly the opposite, just as infectious as a Buzzcocks single but less discernible lyrically. Sing and Schiff effectively swap lines. On "Hedi's Head," they chirp in unison. They find a riff and run it into the ground, as the lyrics consist of little more than a dozen words and a few shrieks of "Eee eee" Fun, accomplished rock roll.
