    Not nearly as good as the reviews say.

    Although the action scenes in Kite are pretty good the rest of the movie is just poor. The movie tries to deal with some very complex themes like betrayal, the loss of one's parents, and pediphilia among a whole range of other things. Unfortunately..., it never goes deep enough into any one subject to really make you think the writers actually cared. Its more like, they thought they could get more young male audience members if they put in a ton of sex references, nudity and a ton of blood and violence. The complex themes were just a convenient vehicle to hit all those stops with.All in all, Kite might be ok for a rental but beware if you're sensitive to things like gore, nudity, and extreme violence.
