A Hamburgbased German pop rock group with an approach somewhat reminiscent of the Cardigans, Kind of Blue was formed in the late 1990s by guitarist Bernd Klimpel, drummer Frank Spinngiess and vocalist Katrin, drawing their name from the famous modal jazz album by Miles Davis. Katrin later left the band and was replaced by Polish singer Lidia Kopania. The group's albums include Indigo, In Sight and Beating the Morning Rush.
