Tarantino is a genius

Pros: To put it simply, great movie

Cons: Had to wait a long time for the dvd

Tarantino to me has directed one great hit one after another, after another. In Kill Bill, Tarantino takes the ideas behind Hong Kong samurai/kung-fu movies and adds his own style to make a film that should probally be considered one the most violent... films in the action genre. Kill Bill is extremely entertaining. The movie follows "The Bride." When she wanted out of Bill's squad, Bill had the squad do her in. The Bride survives a bullet to the head and four years later she awakes from a coma and swears to seek revenge on those who tried to kill her. Volume 1 follows The Bride as her search for revenge tears through Vernita Green (Vivica A. Fox) and O Ren Ishi (Lucy Liu). Of course her path for revenge is no walk in the park as The Bride must also fight through Elle Driver, GoGo, and The Crazy 88s. Now, normally a review like this could end with a suspenful question like: Will The Bride ever make it to Bill, or will she perish before getting to him? The fact of the matter is you probally already know that there is a second one, meaning she did survive the first movie. So I'll end the review this way: The Bride has a tough road ahead of her if she wants to get to Bill. To what extent will The Bride go through to get her ultimate revenge? Read more Less
