Kidz Bop 3 is much like its predecessors -- its takes pop songs with catchy tunes and re-records them with kid participation. Why re-do it? Kids think it's cool to hear their peers singing in the chorus, and it also makes the lyrics easier to understand and sing along with (understanding lyrics is a double edged sword, however - so if you're a stickler for not exposing your kids to mild, veiled sexual innuendo, you might want to check out the songs first). How this one differs from the first couple of renditions is that it uses more original artists, which is good... especially since I found a couple of the singers on the original to be a bit grating (although the kids didn't seem to mind).

There are a few downbeat songs that are slower that my kids don't really care for, such as "U Don't Have to Call" and "Girlfriend." But the vast majority are jazzy and fun: "Complicated," "Soak Up The Sun," "Alive," "Don't Let Me Get Me" etc. -- perfect for the kids (and mommies, too, to jump around singing into a hairbrush. I would buy it again, but I still think my kids prefer the original Kidz Bop.

Yeah I think it's totally pointless taking artist great music and lyrics which in most cases they have worked VERY hard on and let ltl fidgets ruin it!!! I mean a lot of the songs on the cd r not even "child appropriate" yet it's recommended 4 ltl kidz?? I work @ toys r us and i have to listen to this stupid crap every day.
To anyone who thinks this is just a CD for kids....maybe you should listen to the lyrics because Linkin Parl lyrics like "in the end, it doesnt even matter" isnt something a bunch of idiot kids should be singing, especially when it's a song hinting at suicide. Stupid Teeny Boppers. What's their next cover? Eminem? shiet....the idiots who made this cd need to get a swift kick in the ass

These albums are the defininition of selling out...I realize that they're for little kids and all, but the artists should be a little wiser and not let the music that they worked hard on (in some cases) be completely embarrassed through half-assed remaking just to make a little extra money. The only thing that makes me smile about this are the commercials they put out where the parents have little testimonies on how much they like the music...if that's not funny I don't know what is. KIDZ BOP ROCKS...haha!

Kidz bop Kidz? I don't think it's right that kidz are bopping other kidz! We don't need more youth violence; maybe this reflects the increasing lack of two-parent households in American society. JK! Seriously, I don't care if these kidz re-make hit songs. I like some of the songs ("Hey Baby"--I'm a fan of No Doubt, no doubt.) I also like "Soak Up the Sun", "A Thousand Miles", and "All You Wanted"--I just don't like how radio plays and overplays them. As for some other songs, these kidz can't possibly sing any worse than Nelly ("Dilemma"), Ashanti ("Happy"), and 'N Sync ("Girlfriend"). Hey, if the kids keep singing these songs, maybe they won't bop each other so much. STOP THE VIOLENCE!

...The "kidz" almost seemed as if they didn't "feel" it, like they were just puppets for some producer. It was so derivative of "Wee Ones Live at Red Rocks".
I would like to hear the Kidz Bop Kidz branch out a little and explore their own originality a bit more, perhaps tackle more controversial subjects, like what it's like to sing a love song to a gangsta chick when you're a nine year old suburban white kid, or perhaps expound on some thugged-out "Chronic"-driven tales of jail and street life. I know if anyone could pull it off, the Kidz Bop Kidz can.
