In the consumer report calendar this Vacuum was rated the best Vaccum of 2006. You save $400 on this Vaccum. Its better than the Oreck "top of the line vaccum." Its great. We are expecting a baby boy hopefully by 25 Jan. And its seems to clean the carpent much better than my mothers Oreck! Good luck vaccuming. ...

Pros: Love the smart clean system that lets you know when the floor is clean! Also loved the length of the hose.

I was going to buy a Kirby. I have a 5 month old, and I wanted my floors to be as clean as possible for when he starts crawling. I had a Kirby representative come to my house, and I almost bought one, but they were just so expensive! Wow! I decided to read the Consumer Reports on vacuum cleaners, and boy am I glad I did. I saw that this vacuum cleaner ranked #1 and the Kirby was 7th on the list. When I saw the price of the Kenmore vacuum was $275 compared to the $1300 for the Kirby, I was sold. I went and bought it this weekend. I used it, and it worked great. I love that it lets you know when the floor/furniture/etc. is clean. I also liked the attachments. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend it. I am not worried about my little one crawling around on my carpet now! ...
