    Latch is defective - Sears CS a nightmare.

    Pros: Cleans dishes beautifully

    Cons: Won't stay closed

    This is a brand new model and Sears put a lot of effort into making it quiet and engineering it so that it does a beautiful job washing dishes. The problem is that, after a few weeks, it simply wouldn't stay closed, no matter what I did, or how ...the dishwasher was loaded. The dishwasher costs, around $1000.00 The first repairman tried everything,and he couldn't get it work either. He ordered a new latch, but since the first one wasn't broken, the new latch didn't make a difference either. The latch is simply too small for the heaviness of the door and there is no locking mechanism. It has even popped open during mid-cycle, fortunately, the dishwasher stopped as soon as that happened. I ordered it online on in the beginning of Septempber, 2007 and it was delivered and installed about 12 days later. It's now Nov. 27, 2007 and the issue still hasn't been resolved. Sears has said that it will take four visits by a service man before they will agree to replace it, even though it's obvious that the latch is simply flawed, not broken. Sears CS has been a nightmare from day one. At one point, someone in the Corporate office, actually refused to tell me what they would do, if the dishwasher couldn't be fixed. If you value your time and sanity, don't buy this dishwasher. Read more Less

    Pros: The Washer is quiet and cleans well

    Cons: Bumping the dishwasher turns it on.

    They thought they fixed the problem because the detailed information on the washer actually says: "No more accidentally bumping the dishwasher & starting the cycle." But this is Not true, bumping the dishwasher DOES turn the washer on. It s...eems to be running all the time. Read more Less
