The Osakaborn rock guitarist Ken (full name Ken Kitamura) first became known as a member of the Japanese visual kei legends L'ArcenCiel, whom he joined in 1992 at the request of its bassist Tetsuya Ogawa, his childhood friend, dropping out of an architectural college two months before graduation. He penned quite a few of L'ArcenCiel's songs, and after the band went on a hiatus in the 2000s he established his own hard rock unit, the charmingly named Sons of All Pussys, abbreviated S.O.A.P.
