Well I'll just begin by saying that I was very dissapointed in this album because her studio albums spoiled me. I first became a K. Matsui fan when I heard the song "bridge under the stars" on the radio. She is a great musician, but for some reason i...t doesn't seem that the style of music she plays is where her true talent lies. In my humble opinion, her live performances shows exactly how much of a classical pianist she is. Contemporary jazz is obviously not her first language. In the studio she can jam with the best of 'em, but definately not live. Her improvisations are difficult to reproduce but they do not seem to capture any attention of the audience whatsoever. Overall it is good "work in the office" music, but I was dissapointed. With the talented band she has behind her, I would expect more suprises, and less predictability. 3 stars Read more Less
