    Pros: McPhee's voice, catchy beats and rhythms

    This is easily one of my favorite pop albums of all time. I'm particularly drawn to the sweetness of Katharine's voice. It's a very solid album with no filler. I find the production to be top notch on several tracks. The best track on th...e album is "Neglected", followed by "Everywhere I Go", "Not Ur Girl", and "Each Other", but if you really wanna get your groove on check out "Open Toes". I heard the demo before it was released and I liked it, but when I heard the finished product I was amazed! When the breakdown comes at the end; the first time I heard it I got chills!     Katharine has such a great talent. She has so much to give. She is a wonderful and bubbly person. I honestly think that she achieved her goal. I definitely felt that i knew her alot more after listening to the album. There is a very soulful and pop s...ide to this album, but this album also has ballads that most people remember from American Idol. She has definitely come out of her shell and this album proves it.     The album's twenty-two songwriters mostly avoid schlock but can't come up with an alternative, which makes ballads like "Better Off Alone" and tepid, McPhunky dance pop such as "Do What You Do" just bland. The upbeat "...;Love Story" and the decent ballad "Everywhere I Go" mix pop and R&B and provide some relief, but most of Katharine McPhee is politics as usual. Read more Less

    I've waited long for American Idol runner-up Kat's debut album cause she definately has a brilliant voice. But it looks like her post-idol career has followed Britney, Jojo or sth like that. She recorded a pop-RnB album instead a Barbra Strei...sand kinda CD.     Im not sure what i expected from her debut album. I've never watched her on American Idol.. so I wasnt expecting anything good nor bad.. All I can say is that I really do like this cd. Its fun and catchy and easy to relate to.
