    Listen before you make up your mind

    Put aside the petty stuff you see on this album (some people can't seem to get past the competition). This is not an "American Idol" album in any sense of the word. About nine of the 13 tracks have been previewed. The lyrics on those... tracks are smart, the music woven like a tapestry, the beats tight. Several tracks will make you (force you!) to get up and dance. Above all, there is Guarini's smooth as milk chocolate voice. The sound is intimate, not based on power vocals, and you will love it all the more for that reason. Free your mind and listen to the supple way he manipulates the melodies, the interpretive artistry he brings to each song. His expressive range is showcased throughout the tracks.Guarini has chosen to explore sensuality on this album, from growling to his "lover" that "it's an endless night" in "One Heart Too Many" to soulfully asking her "How Will You Know" that he will love her forever. "I Saw Your Face" is sexy, rhythmic, and fresh. "Sorry" is driven by a smart and creative structure and an addictive synthesizer beat. Yes, there are remakes of "Unchained Melody" and "Get Here," but when you hear them, you'll see why they were included.     Color me impressed. The guy has definitely delivered the goods. The compilation of songs I heard on Pick the Hits makes for a cohesive listening experience, displaying a mature smooth soulful vocal finesse.One of the pleasures of listening to Guarini... is his innate ability to meaningfully deliver the lyrics of a song. It's an intangible quality that separates good singers from the exceptional. Stand outs are the sensuous "I Saw Your Face", the uniquely interesting "Sorry", the Latin flavored "One Heart Too Many", and the emotional "How Will I Know". Bottom line: The guy is impressive and his debut CD is excellent. Read more Less

    Suprise hit of the summer!

    If you're looking for the album that has everything, it has finally arrived! Putting his unique stamp on every song on the album, Guarini establishes himself as a bona fide recording artist, and has shed the 'karaoke singer' image of the ...American Idols. With seductive tracks like "I Saw Your Face", the summer just got a little hotter! Open the window, because its getting hot in here! The danceable "Sorry" is a surefire hit, with its addictive beat and mesmerizing vocals. For those looking for more familiar songs, "Get Here" and "Unchained Melody" is included, both of which Guarini has reworked in a new and suprising fashion. For movie lovers, "Timeless" from the feature film "From Justin to Kelly" is also included, a soaring musical accomplishment. With everything from r&b to latin, this album has everything! If you think you can handle some of the hotter tracks like "Doin Things", pick this CD up! Read more Less

    I really think this will be a hit. Every song is radio friendly and is consistent with the same style. Emotional connectedness is very apparent in every song, and as usual you get the impression that Justin is singing to YOU! The beats are also incre...dible, and the best part is that while some artists do have great backround beats, they just can't sing. Justin CAN sing and does it well.     Distinctive sound !

    I heard some songs and was really pleased. This what separates an artist from a singer... a distinctive voice and a unique style. You can tell the variety of influence on the songs (latin beat, R&B, soul and pop) but it still shows the artist's u...nique sound. I definitely will buy Justin Guarini's CD when it comes out, and will even recommend it to my friends and family. Read more Less

    I've heard several tracks from pickthehits and was I surprised!! It's more than I expected from a runner-up in a TV show. The songs are catchy and the vocals are amazing! My favorite tracks, so far, are Sorry (edgy, unique sound) and I Saw Yo...ur Face (love the R&B vibe). The songs show the artist's unique style and soulful singing, and I'm really impressed.     Anyone who enjoyed Justin Guarini on American Idol will be happy to know his talents are supremely showcased on this album. The song "Sorry" is infectious and would be great as a single release, "One Heart Too Many" has a catchy ...Latin beat, "I Saw Your Face" has a smooth R&B groove, "Get Here" remixed to perfection, the classic "Unchained Melody", and the bouncy "Inner Child". Justin's voice sounds smooth, strong and confident, and he clearly enjoys himself, and so will the listener. His fans had a long wait for this album, but it was worth it! Read more Less

    Wow, after listening to some of the songs from Justin Guarini's new CD on Pickthehits.com, I can't WAIT to pick up June 10! An interesting thing to do is listen to the songs in track-listing order order - the songs flow so beautifully one to... the next. You can really get a feeling for Justin's soulful, passionate, SEDUCTIVE, beautiful voice. SO many good songs, this CD should do really well. LOVE the latin beat of "One Heart Too Many," the ultra-sexy "I Saw Your Face," the drum beat back up to "Sorry," and on and on. Justin does an entirely DIFFERENT rendition of "Get Here," with superior production than that on the AI CD from last year, its like listening to an entirely different song. This reminded of Justin's ability to take each song and make it special EACH and every time he performs it, so that you never get tired of it. "Timeless" is GORGEOUS, the blending of Justin and Kelly Clarkson's voice never sounded better - and KELLY fans will want to pick up the CD to add this song to their collection. The version of "Unchained Melody," again, is so DIFFERENT that the rendition we heard live on AI2 this year, but oh, so beautiful, and really worth the comparison. Fabulous, fabulous debut CD, DEFINITELY worth the wait. I'm going to pick up more than one copy on June 10 and pass the wealth around to family and friends. This CD is a MUST BUY. Read more Less

    And to think I voted for Kelly! I heard about 6 of these songs on "Pick the Hits" and am in guilty pleasure land! Hate to say it but... This guy's gonna be BIG!! Don't go into this with preconceived ideas. This is a HOT CD.
