Released in conjunction with the summer 2001 film Jurassic Park III, this title recreates the dangerous island of dinosaurs in full 3D through the 128-bit power of the PlayStation 2. Though similar in spirit to the basic dinosaur-dodging action of Capcom's popular Dino Crisis series (which perhaps borrowed the theme from the Jurassic Park films in the first place), Savage's Jurassic Park: Survival offers more action in place of the less direct survival-horror challenges.

In a new story developed specifically for this release, gamers play as a member of a research team who goes to the island to study the amazing anachronistic creatures there. Research is soon disrupted, however, by the agents of an evil corporation set on taking over the park. When the other scientists on the team are taken prisoner, the hero must make it across the island to rescue them, avoiding dangerous raptors and tyrannosaurs the whole way. ~ T.J.
