By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jun 29, 2002

It is truely the worst film in the Jurassic Park Series. This is not just stupid but it's way out! I cracked up when the raptor on the plane Said, "Allen! Allen!". The characters are total idiots and the movie itself makes no sense. If you want to ma...ke fun of a movie buy this, I mean this should be on Mystery Science Theater 3000! DONT WATCH THIS MOVIE!!!!!! This was the worst of the Jurassic series. Action packed it was, but it wasn't very thrilling.

    Non Stop Action.....

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 28, 2001

Jurassic Park III is an action packed movie. There is about a 15 minute set up then the rest of the movie is nothing but running from Dino's...They worked in alot of new dinosaurs into the movie which was fabulous to see. It was great to see Dr.Grant... and Ellie Sattler.Unfortunately the plot had some holes in it, and the finale wasn't very exciting. It was indeed better than Jurassic Park II but the biggest gripe on this movie I have would be it was way to short....running time only amounted to about an hour and twenty minutes. Which makes for a quick fix of dinosaur action but leaves you wanting more. Read more Less

    Audio/Videophile must have disc!!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 14, 2001

Okay, read the reviews posted. You know the story. But, this review is for those like me with DTS-ES receivers and THX-EX ((now called DD-EX) - where the automatic processing never got used).Despite what the yahoo details read above, despite what it... says on the back cover of the product, despite the absence of its mention in most video equipment/movie review magazines (like Stereophile's GTHT), THIS DISC IS DTS-ES MATRIX 6.1, and hold your breath DOLBY DIGITAL-EX ...WITH THE AUTOSENSING FLAG!!!! I was 100% suprised when I popped in the disc and the autosensing flag signal lit up!!! (Apart from 3 other titles I know of (all put out by Anchor Bay)no other DD-EX encoded disc actually carried the flag sensor that make the receiver decode the back channel correctly. The picture is SPECTACULAR. To me, its directly on par with Columbia Tristar's Superbit discs....there wasn't even a glitch when it jumps between layers on the disc.Reference title for picture quality and Audio encoding ..with necessary flags for both ES and EX Read more Less

    Jurassic Park 3

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 13, 2001

It reminds me of the "Back to the Future" series: not as good as the original, but infinitely better than the atrocious second one. It wasnice to see Sam Neill back in the finale, thoughone couldn't help but wonder if he wasn't in ahurry to make it (...a slim story, a weak supporting cast, and only 93 minutes of shooting time). Still, it could have been worse. Read more Less

Not as good as the original, but better

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 13, 2001

This film endied up being pretty much what I figured it should be, which is more straight forward horror. The Lost World was bogged down by preachiness, a ridiculous T-Rex loose in San Diego sequence, and an annoying villain in the head of Ingen. T...his film, more like the original, lets the dinosaurs be the antagonists, but drops the messing-with-evolution thing a bit. Sam Neill reprises his Alan Grant role well, often making nice references to the first film. The spinosaurus, which quickly takes over the reigns of most fearsome and powerful dinosaur from the T-Rex, is quite firghtening. The computer generated dinosaurs are great (although a couple of times they looked a little too computer generated) and Stan Winston's animatronics are, as awlays, incredible. Pure eye candy and adventure. Read more Less

The only thing going for this film is the special effects. They are verry impressive compaired to the previous films. I did enjoy the spinosaurus but the battle with the t-rex was like watching a heavyweight boxing match. Too short. The new look rapt...ors were also great and the pteranodons also a great addition. On the other hand, terrible acting besides some great actors. The director I belive steels alot from Spielgberg(spino fin in water scene as one obvious example)They could have at least made the movie longer. Lots of unanswerd ouestions were left at the end. Thats all. Read more Less

I was just a little disappointed.

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 9, 2001

The story is about a boy who was lost on Site B (The Lost World) and get him off the Island alive if possible. I know many people think the 2nd & 3rd movie sucked for a lack of a better term. It was made clear that there was "No" script for the movie... and it shows in how the movie was made. The plot was hard to understand, I never understood why the Amanda Kirby's (Téa Leoni) son and new boyfriend went to the island. I have no clue as to why Dr. Grant (Sam Neill) went. He made it clear no force, not even God could make him go back to the Island. The Kirby's check was enough to get him there?. It is hard to believe that this boy lasted 8 weeks alone on this island, which killed four professional mercenaries in less then 1 hour. They were even highly armed. In addition, the Kirby's said, "The US Government wouldn't help us and told us we should assume the inevitable." Yet when they are told that Dr. Grant is on the Island they send the Sixth Fleet, Army, Marines, Tanks, Helicopters the works. As I said, it was a hard story to follow and an even harder one to believe. What it lacked in story it made up for in the action scenes and CGI Dinosaurs. I think it was good nonetheless, because of the "New" Dinosaurs and the action scenes, I only wish the T-Rex had a longer role but that fight between Spinosaurus and The T-Rex is worth the $19.95 for the DVD.
