The Juiced street racing series squeezes onto PSP with different cars, tracks, and game modes from its console predecessor. The name of the game is still to win the pink slips of the fastest, most trickedout sports cars on the streets by defeating rivals in highspeed showdowns. The handheld version features a choice of eight crews and the following seven vehicles: Ford Mustang GT, Renault Clio Sport v6, Toyota Scion TC, Seat Ibiza Cupra, Honda Civic Si, Fiat Coupe, and the Renault Megane Sport.

Each vehicle can be upgraded throughout the game with more than 100 bodykit components. Game modes include career, relay race, and the title’s eliminator mode, where the lastplace driver is removed on each lap until only one remains. The latter two modes feature adhoc wireless support for multiplayer competition, and drivers can create a custom wireless crew to race for their friends’ pink slips. Juiced: Eliminator also offers a choice of eight tracks in two different locales, each with adjustable options such as weather and time of day. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide

    Pros: Control quite active and easy

    uiced, the quickly forgettable street racing game of yesteryear, makes a return to the racing scene this year with the near-identical PlayStation Portable outing. Everything that you may have remembered from last year’s console and PC outing, includ...ing the bland and uninspiring gameplay, confusing career mode and little innovation, make a return, quickly raising the question as to why the developer would choose to port the game over to a system that is already laiden with plenty of quality racers. Regardless of the motivation behind doing so, Juiced: Eliminator fails to do anything remarkably well, making it yet another generic racer that will soon find its way into the bargain bin. One of the key problems that strikes Juiced: Eliminator is its bland, repetitive and generally unimpressive racing. The tracks are boring and feel generic, often forcing you to race the same identical track repeatedly. The Career mode, which poses as the key source of gameplay in Juiced, is confusing and clunky to navigate. It takes far too long to figure out what is going on, how to further progress through the game, and how to unlock additional rides to purchase. Read more Less
