Two moderately inspired LPs combine to make a genial, listenable, but not particularly essential CD, with good sound and fine playing but little inspiration, just solid virtuosity. Nothing on this CD would have made much of a noise with the public, but it is an easy way to spend an hour or so listening. The producers have reached a little further than the original LPs' assemblers, however, to add a pair of bonus cuts, "Candy Apple Racer" and "Ten Seconds to Heaven," neither of which is any more compelling than the material that was already there, but the tracks add to the general genial nature of the CD. As is usual with One Way's reissues in this series, the sound is excellent but there are no notes, session information, or release dates.
