   Pros: Great version of a stunning piece

   This is the best version of "Joseph" by far. It excites the kids, and i dare you not to sing along! The tunes are catchy, the visuals are clever, the cast is astonishing and you will NEVER see so glorious a version...ever.
   
   Buy the darn thing, then invite lots of different people to come and watch it with you. Spread the enthusiasm! ...

   This is a fun and entertaining video - enjoyable for the whole family. It is light hearted yet with some touching moments as well. Donny Osmond, though perhaps a bit old, was very good as Joseph. He did a good job of potraying a naive Jospeh before he is sold into slavery and then a more mature, wise Joseph as Pharaoh's "Number Two". Maria Friedman did a wonderful job as "The Narrator". She has a beautiful voice and moved the story along nicely - even with comic relief at times. Some of the spontaneity of the live theatre is lost but the opportunity to see some of the facial expressions makes up for that loss. the music is catchy - you may find yourself humming one or more of the songs after you watch this. Some of the costuming and a couple of the scenes might be questionable for young viewers but overall it is a toe-tapping, fun, good time. ...
