Alternative pop singer/songwriter Jonathan Balas was born and raised in Los Angeles, briefly studying piano before moving to guitar as a teenhis parents later bought him a fourtrack recorder, and after cutting his first threesong demo, the 18yearold relocated to Seattle to intern at Robert Lang Studios.
