Pros: Amazing Cinematography, Extremely Realistic, Contrasting moods throughout.
Cons: Too Little Publicity
This movie is one of the most amazing films I've seen in a long time. If you're an emo kid, you'll especially love this movie as it is one of the most depressing movies I have ever seen, AND it is set in the seventies. It has one of the saddest moments in any movie I've seen, and also some of the funniest. It is so realistic, it will actually make you feel like you are the main character, and that it is you living the movie. If you are in need of a good drama, this movie will leave you well satisfied for a long time to come.
Pros: liked the shipping materials, fast, good product
Cons: none
no problems
There are some amazing scenes in this off beat drug movie. Particulairly the scenes with Jack Black who to me steals the movie with his portrayal of a drug addled hospital orderly. The scenes with Black are vivid and very funny, and there is sadly too little of him as F**khead wanders through the movie visiting one inconsequential character after another. Hopper seems to be getting better at acting as he gets older. Dennis Leary is wasted really as a waster. Hunter looks like she was out visiting for a day off the set from Crash. Billy Cruddup as F**khead is good too but he dosnt seem to have much in the way of a detailed character to work with, the story is so directionless, you begin to ask yourself what is the point of this movie? F**khead just wanders around and then the film ends. There is no real beggining or end, it just sort of ends and thats it. But like I said there are some great scenes, which stick in the memory and make this film worth checking out, provided you can put up with the increasingly tiresome meanderings of this F**khead. A dissapointment, it could have kicked some serious arse. Nevertheless I know now that Jack Black rules.
This movie tries hard to meet the standards set by Drugstore Cowboy, and ends with an Honorable Mention. I thought Jesus' Son dragged its heels a little too often, trying to explain too much of a character that isn't very deep. But then there were scenes that I loved. Crudup is good but Jack Black stole the show for me. He saves lives and marches to The Ballad of the Green Beret's with a psychotic grace. This movie might have been better if I were stoned.
this is one of the most moving and well acted movies I have ever seen. Billy Crudup is absolutely amazing. He makes you laugh and he makes you cry.It is a realistic portrayal of drug abuse, tragedy and redemption. I highly recommend this film
