Pros: A wonderful story, direction, cast, music

    Cons: .......

Once viewers get a bite out of "Jaws", they are hooked. I loved this movie and Steven Spielberg is one of my favorite director. You gotta see this movie, it's great.

    Pros: EVERYTHING

    Cons: NONE

Jaws was GREAT! It's my all-time FAVORITE movie in the world! Although the book wasn't as good. It was written well, but it just....didn't match up to the movie's standards: Quint trips over a rope and drowns, Matt is eaten, and the shark dies of exaustion, leaving Martain as the sole survior. I liked the movie's action-packed last scenes: Quint's untimely dimense of being brutally eaten by the shark, Matt survives and hides in the Coral Reef, and Martain blows the shark up.
In short, Great movie, okay book.

Pros: The way that Spielberg creates the character of Quint, like the character of "Moby Dick".

    Cons: Nothing

In 1875 three of the most amazing films were realized and of them was "Jaws". Directed by a yet rookie, Steven Spielberg created an almost perfect space of horror. Also others elements like megnificent photography and the spectacular score by one of the most spectacular composer of all time, John Williams, makes this films one of the most unforgiven materpierce of the of the History.

    My Favorite Movie

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Aug 20, 2003 | 0 out of 1 found this Jaws (1975) review helpful

Jaws is no doubt one of the greatest movies of the 70's, but its one of the greatest movies of all time. Roy Scheider, Richard Dreyfuss, and Robert Shaw did some of the best acting ever, and they all did a great job. John Williams's music score was awesome. The parts where Quint recaps the story of the U.S.S Indianapolis, and Brody killing the shark were unforgettable. Steven Spielberg does an incredible job on directing duties.
    Great movie, I love it.

    Jaws

Anyone who thinks that this movie is not one of the best movies ever made is a moron! ...You receive pure entertainment with this picture,
drama, comedy, suspense, and Oscar worthy performances from the three main characters. Any critic who gave this movie less than an A rating needs to watch their "Out of Africa" over and over again. It's a shame the sequels tainted the memory of this classic. Own it! In my opinion, "THE BEST MOVIE EVER MADE!!!!".

Jaws will get have a manwich instead! Problably the scariest shark movie ever. When it first came out, I did not go swimming by the beach for weeks. Then Grizzly came out, and I didn't go camping for weeks. That summer sucked. Great DVD for any collector.

jaws is with out a dout, the greatest movie of all time. Spielberg could not have found
a better cast for this movie. The acting is
terrific, and the shark"bruce", well it can
hold its own with special effects. The film
remains "today" one of the biggest grossing
movies of all time. I pitty the person or
"persons" who have not seen this!

The only thing I can say, its the reason we´re all afraid of sharks!!! The best Animal movie in its time, and with better effects and technological advances, would still be the best.

    A classic

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Sep 28, 2000

Remember how disappointing this movie was when broadcast on TV? Pan and scan disasters, lame sound, gory scenes deleted?
The DVD does justice to this classic. The sound is a Dolby Digital 5.1 surround, and the image ratio is a 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen that will look awesome on any large screen TV.
The DVD has some very nice features, including over 70 minutes of deleted scenes (too bad it misses an index for those).
    All in all, a must-have.

Just when you thought is was safe to watch a DVD...dudum, dudum, dudum! This is my favorite movie!!! The movie is phenominal! Truly a masterpiece. It's worth buying just for the "DVD Extras!" You get a 60 minute documentary on the making of the film. And 15 minutes of interviews with the cast and crew of the film. It has a trivia game, screeshots, storyboards, a screen saver, and trailers! Then you have the first movie to break the one million dollar mark in the box office, "Jaws" in perfect DVD quality! Let's just say I've watched it at least once a day since I got it! It's a MUST HAVE for anybody!

Spielberg at his best is what jaws is.
the pacing cutting and the charectors still hold good after all these years.
the incredible sequence when the 3 guys trade their scar marks is something youll never forget unless youre an idiot.
despite the tacky shark its brilliant unlike stevens sloppy jurasiccpark with all the state of the art stuff.
thank god for letterbox every thing else !@#$%^&*()_+|

Finally, a masterpiece on DVD that wasn't butchered by the restoration group. The sound is good, but not great, on a 5.1 setup.

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jul 12, 2000

A regular format? Isn't a regular format what letterboxing is trying to achieve, which is the closet approximation of the original aspect ratio possible on a TV screen? Don't fault the DVD for your preference of Pan-and-Scan (which sucks by the way).
