James Curtis
Not that much is known about the drummer James Curtis, more active as a live player than in the studios in the '40s and '50s. His normal range of activities was in Arkansas and Mississippi and in the '60s he was based out of Helena, Arkansas--unfortunately a bit too early to feel the benefits of this town's revaluation of its blues roots. This Curtis should not be confused with the doo wop vocalist or Hollywood biographer of the same name.
