The modern computer world has switched from ports dedicated to a single purpose to a port that can have many different devices connected to it. In the general market place, the USB has become the dominant new Serial bus. This GoldX Offspring cable has been tested to the standard of the USB Integrators forum for version 2.0 of the USB specification. It cable is a type A male (host or upstream) 4-pin to a type A female (host or upstream) 4-pin version of that standard. It is normally used to extend the length of a cable or connector that is directly attached to a device. Note: USB specification limits the length of a cable segment between the host or hub and device to 5 meters. Using this cable to extend beyond 5 meters will void your warranty and may cause damage to the computer or device.
