Should have been two separate CDs
Pros: Tight, tight band on live stuff
Cons: The editing of the live stuff & not enough new tracks
Man, they don't make them like this anymore. Real musicians playing awesome music on the live tracks, however the editing is kind of annoying. Even the new tracks are better than a lot of what's out there today.

growing up listenin' 2 this kind of music,i find it good and exciting.the old jams bring back memeries,but there was not enough new grooves 4 me.and not enough songs.
Pro Reviews: It's About Time
Morris Day is back twelve years after his last new record, but It's About Time isn't entirely new. It's mostly live with a couple new tracks, the excellent partnering with the quirkycool rapper E40 for "In My Ride" being the best. Day's goofysexy swagger is still believable and when playing old Time tunes the band recreates the perfect Prince production fairly well. Too bad the whole show wasn't included and it's odd that the curse words are edited. Editing the vulgarities makes you wonder who Hollywood Records perceives as Day's audience, but the label brought the swaggering joker back to the home stereo and hardcore fans should thank them for that.
