Irene Grandi
Born in Florence on December 6, 1969, Italian singer Irene Grandi spent her youngadult years in bands that traversed the local club scene, not striking out as a solo artist until 1992, when she hooked up with songwriter Telonio and began working on new material. The song "Un Motivo Maledetto" caught the ear of the CGD label, and soon Grandi was signed, with a 1994 selftitled release on the way after the requisite stop at the San Remo Festival, of course.
