Pros: Guitars, Guitars, Guitars, Guitars :-)------~

Cons: 1 or 2 songs that are so-so

I picked this cassette up when it first came out back in June of 85! Blown away by what came out of my stereo speakers cranked up about half way! To my suprise, that didn't hold a torched lighter compared to when I went to the Roanoke Civic Cente...r to see them Live in Concert! Whoooooweeeeee! I stood down on the floor about 25ft. from where Warren Demartini was standing on stage! The sound waves that came out of his Fully-stacked Amplifier's woofers made from Warrens Charvel guitar "Literally" pounded against my chest! Causing me to kneel down on the floor into submission and "up-chucking" all of the beer and vodka I drank on the way to the concert! Hehehehe. I kid you not! I think that was the most blurred, kick@$$ Rock show I had ever been to til this day! It's just a shame what happened to Robyn Crosby (Rythm guitarist). I think them guys were definately the top 3 acts back in the 80's behind VanHalen and Queensryche :-)-----~ Definately 5*****'s! Read more Less

    Ratt rocks

    Pros: -

    Cons: -

Invasion of Your Privacy followed up the excellent Out Of The Cellar and it measures up quite nicely. The band's hook-laden L.A. metal never sounded better. Highlights include Never Use Love, Lay It Down, Your In Love, and Closer To My Heart. Bey...ond the excellent songwriting, guitarist Warren DeMartini deserves a mention. His melodic lead guitar was the cornerstone of Ratt's sound, yet he never gets the props that other players of that era do. It's a shame because the guy is good. Check this one out! Read more Less

Pro Reviews: Invasion of Your Privacy

  • All Music Guide

Released in 1985, Ratt's second album Invasion of Your Privacy contained all the ingredients which helped launch the band to ~MTV and radio success: another batch of solid pop metal tunes and a half-naked model on the cover. Though singer Stephen Pearcy's limited range becomes more obvious, guitarist Warren DeMartini truly shines, as does drummer Bobby Blotzer. "You're in Love" is the obvious stand-out and strong cuts such as "Give it All," "Between the Eyes" and "Lay it Down" keep things interesting without quite repeating the consistency of the band's debut.

Biography

Ratt

Ratt's brash, melodic heavy metal made the Los Angeles quintet one of the most popular rock acts of the mid-'80s. The group had its origins in the '70s group Mickey Ratt, which had evolved into Ratt by 1983; at that time the band featured vocalist Stephen Pearcy, guitarist Robbin Crosby, guitarist Warren DeMartini, bassist Juan Croucier, and drummer Bobby Blotzer.
