    Pros: very well performed bluegrass style Soul music

    Cons: hard to find and out of print = expensive

    This CD is very well done if you are a lover of bluegrass style music. They also cross genre very well by using covers of popular soul music. I think that the musicianship on the CD is excellent along with the narrative tale thats being told along th...e way. the singing and harmony is very well done. I enjoyed the CD very much and recommend it. It is hard to find,but if you luck into it you will have a smile on your face when you play it. guaranteed !!! Read more Less

    If you don't believe bluegrass versions of soul classics is an inspired gag, listen to the beginning of Run CW's "Stop in the Name of Love" and imagine the possibilities. The quartet also rewrote Arthur Conley's "Sweet Soul Music" to poke fun and Lee Greenwood and Tanya Tucker, among others, and parodied Billy Ray Cyrus's "Achy Breaky Heart" with "Itchy Twitchy Spot."
