Pro Reviews: Interlude

  • All Music Guide

Morrissey swoons his way over Siouxsie Sioux's vocal theatrics on his import single "Interlude." Probably one of the finest duos in modern rock, the combination of Morrissey and Sioux is quite impressive. One might expect a moving and intelligent performance from this pairing of two of the biggest acts in '80s British rock, and Morrissey and Sioux deliver. The flowing string arrangements on "Interlude" are breathtaking, and appropriate to the talents of both artists. Exquisite and surprising at the same time, "Interlude" is equally enjoyable for fans of the Smiths and Siouxsie the Banshees. An extended version of the song is included, as well as an instrumental version.
