    Inside Job

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Mar 4, 2002

Don Henley gives a grand performance in his "Inside Job" Album. As usual he uses his writing talent along with his vocal ability. The seventh track, Inside job talks about modern technology taking over "the little things in life.", how we are lettin...g politics weave their web of deseptions and how it's an "inside job" to learn to forgive. The second track, "Taking you Home", Henley says he wrote this song for his youngest daughter while taking her home from the hospital. He had a "moment of insperation". I seen his Inside Job concert in Lubbock Texas on Sunday, March 3, 2002. He was totally awsome as I knew he would be! Read more Less

thank god for an inside job

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Feb 2, 2002

sometimes i think record companies are clueless with what to do with a great album. john mellencamp's "cutting heads", roxy music's "avalon", stevie nicks' "trouble in shangra-la", everything but the girl's "walking wounded" for example are fantastic... albums that weren't promoted properly. add this one to the list. don henley's "inside job" ranks up there with his best but really try to find a bad don henley album. his songs are thought provoking, intelligent, sarcastic, funny, touching, and heartbreaking. there are at least 8 potential singles on this album. "taking you home" which is a very good song was a poor choice for the first single. "nobody else in the world but you" is a terrific rocker with some help from stevie wonder would of been a better choice. "for my wedding" is one of the best songs he has ever covered. its simple. honest. direct. i've heard it on a country station a couiple of times but don's not nashville. "damn it rose" is about the lingers effects of a suicide--powerful and moving. "working it" kicks ass in the same vein as "dirty laundry". my favorite here is "everything is different now". when the chorus kicks in the song shoots through the stratosphere. simply put, it is about redemption.it is a shame that an album this good gets little or no airplay. but you know he made it, i bought and i do not have to listen to the teen crap that is currently polluting the radio waves. thank you don for an "inside job" Read more Less

    He's still got it!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Oct 19, 2001

It's hard to top "End of the Innocence," but Don Henley has not lost his touch at all. It's not just his voice I love, but the notes he uses. "Taking You Home" is so beautiful and great to slow dance to. "Everything is Different Now" is a song for... anyone who finds, or dreams of finding, their true love. My favorite is "My Thanksgiving" because it makes me feel good about life, in general, which of course is the theme of the song. I have always enjoyed Don's music and this album proves that I still do. Great job, Don! Read more Less

    ''AWESOME

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Sep 7, 2001

I AM DON HENLEY'S BIGGEST FAN. IM ALSO AFRICAN AMERICAN. HE IS SUCH A MASTERMIND. IM EXTREMELY IMPRESSED WITH "INSIDE JOB", (ESPECIALLY THE SONG"WORKING IT"). MR HENLEY, IF YOU READ YOUR MESSAGE BOARDS I WANTED TO TELL YOU HOW PROUD AND IMPRESSED I W...AS AT YOUR CONCERT IN DALLAS IN MAY OF 2000 AT FAIR PARK. I READ THE BOOK TAKE IT TO THE LIMIT AND THERE WAS A STORY THAT STATED THAT THE EAGLES WERE NEVER DIVERSE. SO IMAGINE MY SURPRISE WHEN YOU HAD AN AFRICAN AMERICAN CHOIR AS BACKUP. I HAVE BEEN A FAN FOR YEARS AND I BECAME A BIGGER FAN EVEN THEN. I KNOW I MAY HAVE GOTTEN A FEW STARES AT THAT CONCERT AND THE EAGLES CONCERT IN JULY OF THIS YEAR BUT I TRULY DON'T CARE. I BELIEVE THAT MUSIC IS UNIVERSAL AND SO MUCH NEGATIVITY AND RACISM CAN BE REVERSED PARTLY THROUGH MUSIC. Read more Less

    Henley has done it again.

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jul 26, 2001

Don has done it yet again, Im quite surprised he was absent from making albums for 11 years. But nevertheless, Im quite impressed with his new album, which Im very proud to own. Like a fine wine, Don just gets better and better with each album he mak...es. My favourite songs are "Inside Job", "Taking You Home", "Workin' It", and "The Genie", and now recently, Ive come to also like "Miss Ghost", as well as "Damn' It, Rose". A superb album Don youve done a great piece of work once again, keep those great hits coming my way, and to all your fans. Read more Less

    Inside Job

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jul 1, 2001

A wonderful album full of great songs. Some that hit a little too close to home for me, sad to say. I thought the preformance was great and it's easily his best work since End of The Innocence and even on par with that.

    Don Henley speaks,

By Yahoo! Shopping User  May 1, 2001

volumes with this one. Entitled "Inside Job" this is again the best ofMusic as we know it. The 2nd track will undoubtedly be an historical song for Don as it is truly one of his most beautiful of all his ballads. This is one of those albums you can p...ut in your Jeep and play in repeat mode for weeks on end. If you like straight forward, good listening music this is a must buy.My opinion as usual... Worth the wait

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Apr 19, 2001

This is simply the best album I've ever heard. Same flavor and beat of his earlier albums, all of which I love, but a new degree of depth. Cannot stop listening to it. I love "Taking You Home," but "They're Not Here, They're Not Coming" has to be my ...favorite - when I'm not listening to it, I can't get it out of my head. All the songs on this album are great, though. Nothing I would skip over. Can't play this album enough. It's a must for Henley or Eagles fans, but I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to hear a great work that was truly inspired. Read more Less

    what the hell is this?

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Mar 31, 2001

talk about being excessively mushy-i had to turn the radio or tv everytime he came on, it not only lacked a beat but appeared like an amateuristic attempt, with the lyrics from a high school student it's nice for musicians to make comebacks-the eagl...es were a great band with a unique sound, but i found myself tuning out to all of these songs because they were genericsave a buck, and buy the older stuff-that's my only recommendation Read more Less
