  • All Music Guide

Recorded in February and March 2002, Influencia mainly delivers Latin alternative pop/rock songs, most of them composed by the Argentine rock icon Charly García,.with contributions from singer/guitarist Tony Sheridan on "I'm Not in Love," singer/songwriter Fito Paez on "Mi Nena," and María Gabriela Epumer on "Tu Vicio," "El Amor Espera," and the acoustic version of "I'm Not in Love." In addition, Influencia includes a remake of "Happy and Real" and "Encuentro Con El Diablo," previously recorded live with Seru Giran and featured on Obras Cumbres Rock Nacional, Vol. 2. Distanced from his 1984 classic album, Parte de la Religion, but closer to the contemporary rock en español scene, the well-produced Influencia is an interesting 13-track record.
