Industry and Thrift sees the Livers make the next logical step in their evolution. The continue to move away from the traditional arrangements of their earlier albums. Industry and Thrift sees them experimenting not only with their compositions, but with their instruments as well.
Casual fans looking for a Hog's on the Highway II are likely to be dissapointed by Industry and Thrift. However, the album marks a turning point in the maturity of the band. The songs are richer and more complex. Likewise, Danny and Mark exhibit an instrumental flair beyond the scope of their previous works.Was this review helpful? Yes - No
