The Finnish allgirl suomirock group Indica formed in 2002 with teenagers Johanna "Jonsu" Salomaa, Heini, Sirkku, Jenny, and Laura. Singing in Finnish and forging an accessible pop sound with witchy, goth rock sensibilities, the girls caught the attention of Sony BMG's Jani Jalonen in 2003.
