    The tracks on this album are a marvel.It's only a shame that his talented band does not have mass recognition as radio play is concerned. Yet for that to happen, there would have to be a sacrificing of what makes them so unique, and what has made th...e tracks so unique. A blend of reggae, funk, and middle eastern themes have been pulled off successfully on tracks such as Istanbul Twilight, not an easy task nor a small feat. Freeway to Uskudar spices up the original, giving it a hip quality, yet not sacrificing its ethnic sound.     Their moniker is deceptive because this huge (23-piece) outfit deals in everything from global dub ("Istanbul Twilight") to Middle-Eastern bass-and-drums ("By and Bye"). While this far-flung stylistic sampling might result in havoc, these folks keep it real by focusing on the groove. When they do kick into a straight-ahead funk riff on the title track, even this is peppered with their clever melding of Eastern motifs and dancehall vocals. This is something else, and that's a good thing.
