Excelleant!!!!!!
This is one of the best war stories of all time. Great allstar cast with a very human story; not just fighting; but plenty of that also. My wife and I watch it everytime its on. Watched it this past Saturday in fact. Great movie. A must see.

In Harm's Way has an interesting plot as well as battle action. If you like old schmaltzy movies, you will like this.

"In Harm's Way"--John Wayne as a tough U.S. naval officer heads a stellar cast in this World War II drama. Set in the Pacific, the film follows Capt. Rockwell Torrey (Wayne) from Pearl Harbor thru the ups and downs of war to a decisive confrontation with a Japanese naval task force. Co-stars Kirk Douglas, Henry Fonda, Patricia Neal, Tom Tryon, Burgess Meredith, Brandon DeWilde, Jill Haworth, Patrick O'Neal, Paula Prentiss, Dana Andrews, Carroll O'Connor, and others.

"In Harm's Way" is an all-around entertaining flick! A great mix between drama, comedy, and action. The venue is the Vietnam War, and the footage included is the real stuff. Yes, there is a plot. This is no boring documentary. John Wayne is just as effective on a ship and on the water as he is on a horse and in the wilderness. The rest of the cast (including but not limited to...Henry Fonda, Kirk Douglas, Burgess Meredith, Caroll O'Connor, Patricia Neal) is a gathering of outstanding actors whose performances result in a harmony called "a classic and entertaining movie"! The one thing missing (at the time of this review) is that this film is not available on DVD.
