In between dreams
Pros: delighted rhythm and lyrics
Cons: it's not easy to like it from the first time
This is the latest album of him. This guy is quite a silent person, I think. The lyrics are simple but tell a lot. We can find a simple-but-not-simple love in his words. Maybe it's his real feelings 'bout his wife, his life and his love. Try his songs and you'll find them delighted

Pros: Mellow and Good Songwriting
Cons: Not Much Range
This album took me by surprise. I like it more than I originally thought that I would. The strong part of this album (and all Jack Johnson music) is the songwriting. He delivers simple lyrics that are straight to the point and seem to roll of the tongue seamlessly. This definitely carries the album. The music is just a decoration for the words in this case. But that ain't all bad, the words are great. The songs are all strong and everyone who gets hooked, should be able to identify with the a song or two. Definitely a CD to chill to. You can hear the waves crash as you listen.

Pros: Good bass lines, More upbeat than previous work
Cons: Some of the last songs on the album don't seem to fit
I disagree with some of the earlier reviewers who said this would not be a commercial success (already proven wrong). I find this album to be the most popish and commercial that he's done. It's more upbeat, got more pronounced bass lines, and even a little steel drum thrown in. I like it the best of his albums. Looking forward to seeing him live in September (sure have to buy tickets early these days).

Pros: A refreshing new hawaii-type sound that is still just as fun to listen to as his past cali records

Jack Johnson is one of the best artists around today. The style of this new album is definetly a reflection on his environment. This album was recorded in Hawaii as opposed to California like the last 2 records. He plays the ukelele on some tracks which gives out a really laid back/chilled vibe. This cd is a lot of fun to listen to and I encourage everyone to check it out!
