This is a great collection of all of Madonna's hits, if you don't want to buy all the albums.

I used to love singing to Madonnas songs back in the 80s, thinking they were really sweet songs. And the Immaculate Collection is full of them. But I never saw any videos of them that made me think otherwise. I wish Madonna would go back to the sweet songs that she used to sing, and to go back to her sweeter and less evil image that she used to be.

Personally I didn´t like it very much because many songs were altered, are faster than they were("Borderline", for example, is much shorter now). "Like a Prayer" was the most remixed, and I prefer the original song. Cherish is very fast too. But in a whole it´s a good cd.

If these box would've been complete, why didn't include songs of 1987 and 1988 instead of 1990????? but the res6t of the songs are good!!!! the only bad thing of the album is that is incomplete, but the rest is good!!!!!! because the 80's songs of madonna are the best ones!

It's a really good CD to listen too while on travelling. It makes you feel good and each track has a different sound. Most of her hits with a few that I had never heard (ie. Live To Tell) but all good. Expensive but worth the price

All of Madonnas early hits can be found on this album. Songs include Holiday, Borderline, Crazy For You, Open Your Heart, Vogue and many, many more! Another good Madonna album to purchase is Bedtime Stories, it has a much different sound than her earlier albums, but its still nice to listen to.

Ive always loved Madonnas albums but this is a classsic and one of her best! Its got my favourite's :Like a prayer,la isla Bonita and into the Groove. You wont be dissapointed with this!

So what do you call a "greatest hits" album wherein each track is really great? Nobody does it better than the goddess of pop Madonna. Whatever critics may call it, they are the ones missing a lot!

When we think about it, isn't it great that Madonna has enjoyed so many smash hits that 17 tracks isn't enough to represent her "greatest hits"? I disagree with a previous reviewer's opinion that "Papa Don't Preach" should have been omitted. "Papa Don't Preach" is one of Madonna's most enduring songs, and, while "Oh Father" is one of my favorite Madonna songs and "Dress You Up" is an early delight, remember that "Oh Father" reached No.20 on the Billboard charts, while "Papa Don't Preach" was a No.1 smash. Like Madonna's video compilations, something special is always left out. One of my absolute favorites is "Angel," a No.4 hit that few people remember now. What about "Who's That Girl," "Causing a Commotion," and "Keep It Together"? See, there's just too many hits for each favorite to be included. Purchase it anyway, because every song is outstanding and Madonna's earlier work is her most significant and enjoyable. EROTICA and BEDTIME STORIES were somewhat lackluster. Until the release of RAY OF LIGHT in 1998, people believed Madonna's career had peaked. While she does not enjoy the same success as she did in the '80s, she continues to make provocative statements and irresistible music.

A lot of people LOVE this album. Can't get enough of it. But coming from me, a true and enduring Madonna fan, I don't feel it does her justice. Her newer stuff can sometimes put her older stuff to shame. I wish she would have omitted "Papa Don't Preach," "Like A Virgin," and "Material Girl" from this album and replaced them with "Dress You Up," "True Blue," "Oh Father," and "Keep It Together." I also don't like how songs like "Open Your Heart," "Holiday," "Borderline," and "Lucky Star" are chopped...their original long versions are much better. The one totally redeeming thing on this cd is "Justify My Love." Madonna and Lenny Kravitz...how can you go wrong??? Despite its controversy, I just think this is a wonderful song, and the other new song on it, "Rescue Me" is also good. That was the start of the new and improved Madonna of the 1990s!
