    Unforgetable!

    Sad but touching story with great acting and a wonderfull musical score.Still worth watching today.

    Ice Castles is one of my favorite movies that I own. I like the way how you see Lexi's career up till her accident then how she overcomes it withthe help of her friends and family.

    Excellent movie, but could have added a few more features. The music is good, with a great unforegetale theme song..
    Still worth owning on DVD, without the special stuff..

    This film made in 1979 revolves around "Alexis", whose dream is to become a champion ice skater. Training at her small hometown local rink, she builds up the skills needed to make it to the Regionals and finally Nationals. Lexie is selected by a worl...d known trainer, and is in the peak of her career when a devastating accident leaves her blind. The story from then revolves around her feelings of helplessness and pain as she comes to terms of dealing with the loss of her sight, and her steely determination as she learns to skate again with the help of her boyfriend and family (With her father played by Tom Skerrit). An emotional end to the movie guarantees a few tears, and overall gives the viewer a few lessons in determination and fighting for what you want.Tahlia99Melbourne, Australia. Read more Less
