Ice Age 2: The Meltdown Game Boy Advance

Based on the 2006 computeranimated feature film, this GBA game follows ice age companions Sid the sloth, Manny the mammoth, and Diego the saber tooth tiger, as they race to escape from their flooding valley. The game alternates between sidescrolling platform levels, suggestive of early Sonic the Hedgehog games, and isometric adventure areas, not unlike those in Super Mario RPG. The sidescrolling sections are singlecritter affairs, but all three characters need to work together to make it through the overland exploration levels of the game, each using his unique abilities to help solve simple environmental puzzles (such as crossing a weak patch of thin ice or a scalding spot of molten rock).
