Ninotchka's lone recording is a two-song 7" of catchy dream pop. The two songs, especially the college radio hit "I've Got Wings," are exactly what one would expect from a collaboration between Amy Turany, the pipes for spacy combos February and Astronaut Wife, and the Hang Ups' brilliant guitarist John Crozier. "I've Got Wings," with its lovely harmonies, synthesizer bursts, and unadorned piano, is just as rewarding as anything in either of the aforementioned bands' catalogs; but, with this single, Ninotchka has definitely cultivated their own identifiable sound. A breezy, Latin-tinged synth-pop tribute to the mysterious songwriter Scott Walker, "Green Dream (Goodnight Scott Walker)" graces the B-side.
